BSC Young Boys' home ground, the Wankdorf Stadium in Bern, was given a facelift in time for the start of the second half of the 2023 season. While the players prepared for the first matches of the year, building renovation experts carried out extensive work on the stands.
Stairs were repositioned and installed in several sectors. The renovation work included bonding existing and new block steps with epoxy adhesive and anchoring them in the concrete. To protect the steps from the weather, the experts carefully sealed all joints with epoxy resin.
Despite challenging conditions such as a tight schedule and wintry temperatures, the project was successfully completed. The renovated stands were available to fans in time for the first home game of the second half of the season.
These modernization measures underline the club's ongoing commitment to improving the stadium's infrastructure and offering fans an optimal match experience.
